The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd.  It will take place every 1st and 3rd Saturdays starting in October at 11am-1pm at St Thomas Aquinas Church in Elmira. The program was created over 50 years ago in Rome, using the hands on Montessori method to give children a religious retreat space called an atrium designed to especially encourage prayer, relationship with God, study of the scripture, parables and the liturgy.  The theological content is extensive starting at age 3years- 12yrs  (it is presented in a contemplative and relationship based way as well as utilizing the parable method which are both the teaching methods of the church). There will also be an area set up for parents with their babies and toddlers to enjoy.
